Stepping into L.I.F.E. Inc. opens the door for families to enjoy and experience the freedom of a more independent lifestyle. We pride ourselves on providing reliable, competent individuals dedicated to the continuance of education and training. Our goal is to increase independence and self esteem in our clients while building personal relationships for proven success in everyday living.
We often hear from individuals and clients that they have dealt with aides in the past, and that while the willingness and effort are present, they lack the intensity and energy. At times the professionalism is lower than anticipated and that they do not seem to “get it!” The relationship between child and worker is compromised and just not a good fit. Caregivers need to be more than “just a warm body” present during activities. At Stepping into L.I.F.E. Inc., we understand the essential and immediate needs of both family members as well as those with Special Needs, including the needs of families with typical siblings. Here are just some of the comments from clients understanding our forward and focused method of care giving, Respite and L.I.F.E. Skills provided:
“Denise has been working with our daughter Katie since September 2002. Katie is still a very challenged and challenging child, however, the structure and methodology that Denise has utilized has had a major impact on Katie’s behavior on a daily basis. Denise has an exceptionally calm, consistent, loving approach toward all children”
Debbie Gillis, Calgary AB – 2003.
“For us as parents, it was extremely important for Martin to learn the simple things to succeed in life, while having fun at the same time. It has given us a stronger sense of hope for our son’s future. L.I.F.E. Skills has been so wonderful for our son and he looks forward to it each and every day.”
Paul and Wendy Nickerson, Calgary AB – 2009
“Denise is just an incredible wealth of knowledge! My husband and I (and the OT who sees Scott) were just amazed at the resources Denise brought to the sessions and her willingness to provide.”
